NHAI Enhances RajmargYatra App With New Digital Services

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has enhanced digital services on the RajmargYatra Mobile App with the introduction of a Digital Local Pass and a MargMitra Help Centre. The upgrades are intended to make travel on national highways more convenient and commuter friendly by reducing the need for physical interactions at toll plazas and by improving access to assistance. The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to modernise highway user services and to streamline commuter experience.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that the newly introduced Digital Local Pass enables eligible commuters to purchase a monthly toll pass online through the RajmargYatra Mobile App without visiting a toll plaza. The facility has been launched at the Mundka-Bakkarwala Toll Plaza on Delhi Urban Extension Road-II and is to be expanded to other toll plazas across the country in the coming months. The online pass aims to reduce queuing time and to simplify monthly commuting routines for frequent travellers.

NHAI has also introduced the MargMitra Help Centre, an intelligent digital assistance platform integrated into the RajmargYatra Mobile App, to provide enhanced commuter support. The platform allows users to access information, register grievances and seek assistance through text or voice in 22 Indian languages. The system is designed to eliminate manual documentation, to speed up response times and to provide multilingual support that reflects the diverse needs of road users.

Officials indicated that the combined features will contribute to a more seamless highway experience and to improved operational efficiency at toll plazas. The digital upgrades are expected to enhance transparency in toll operations and to support faster resolution of commuter issues while reducing administrative burden. The RajmargYatra Mobile App enhancements align with broader digitalisation efforts aimed at making public services more accessible and user centred.
