PM Modi To Inaugurate Pachpadra Refinery On July Four

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Pachpadra Refinery in Rajasthan’s Balotra district to the nation on July four, more than two months after the planned ceremony was postponed. The blaze was contained with no casualties, but damage to the CDU prompted a delay while restoration and safety checks were completed.\n\nRepair work and required safety measures have restored the CDU to operational status and the refinery is ready to commence production. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several development projects and appointment letters will be handed to youth selected for government service. District venues will host linked events so recipients and the public may follow the main ceremony virtually.\n\nChief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reviewed preparations and instructed officials to organise appointment letter programmes in every district so young people may join the main event virtually. He characterised the Pachpadra Refinery as a landmark for industrial development, investment promotion and employment generation and directed that all preparations be completed within the stipulated timeframe. He also ordered strengthened security, robust surveillance and an extensive plantation drive to ensure environmental conservation is integrated with the inauguration.\n\nSenior officials including Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and Director General of Police Rajiv Kumar Sharma attended the review, with representatives from HRRL and other departments participating and officials from HPCL and district authorities joining by video link. Officials were directed to finalise logistics such as visitor seating, drinking water, parking, security and traffic management and to meaningfully involve refinery workers in the event.
