RailTel Secures Rs 439.6 mn Order from Uttar Pradesh Police Board

RailTel Corporation of India Limited (RailTel) has announced that it has received a major work order from the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (the board) to provide security related ancillary services for a large scale recruitment examination. The contract is valued at Rs 439.6 mn including taxes, equivalent to Rs 43,96,34,195. The engagement is scheduled for execution up to 12 April 2028.

RailTel stated in a regulatory filing that the contract was awarded by a domestic government entity and that it does not involve any related party or promoter interest. The company recorded receipt of the order on 13 April 2026 at 15:39 as per the filing. The work will support logistics and technology enabled measures required for examination security.

The project expands RailTel's presence in government services and digital infrastructure support beyond its traditional telecom and railway network portfolio. The scope includes operational and technology components aimed at ensuring secure conduct of recruitment assessments. The contract underscores the company's ability to secure sizeable public sector work. The engagement will draw on the company's existing network assets and software capabilities to meet delivery timelines.

Execution of the assignment will require coordination with the board's examination timelines and deployment of bespoke security and monitoring solutions. RailTel will be responsible for delivering ancillary services that facilitate secure venues, secure data handling and network support during the recruitment process. The company will oversee project management, integration and on ground support obligations.

The order adds to RailTel's pipeline of public sector contracts and diversifies its revenue mix through technology enabled operational services. Analysts and investors will monitor contract execution and operational updates reported by the company during the work period.
