Thriveni Logistics orders 200 tip trailers from Jagdamba trailers

Jagdamba Trailers (JTPL), one of India’s growing trailer manufacturers, has secured a significant order for 200 Tip Trailers from Thriveni Transport and Logistics Pvt. Ltd., a leading mining and logistics company serving operations across India and overseas.
The order, placed for iron ore transportation, is a major milestone for JTPL, particularly as the company secured the business after competing with more than 10 established trailer manufacturers. It also strengthens an already successful relationship between the two companies. Approximately one and a half years ago, Thriveni Transport and Logistics had placed an earlier order for 170 Tip Trailers with JTPL.
The latest order underlines the growing confidence of large corporate fleet operators in Jagdamba Trailers’ products, manufacturing capabilities and ability to deliver customised solutions for demanding mining and logistics applications.
200 trailers to be delivered within 30 days
Adding to the significance of the order is the tight delivery schedule of just 30 days. JTPL has committed to supplying all 200 Tip Trailers within this timeframe, placing a strong emphasis on production planning, supply-chain coordination, quality control and execution.
The ability to undertake and deliver a large-volume order within such a demanding schedule reflects JTPL’s growing manufacturing capacity and its readiness to support the requirements of large-scale corporate and institutional fleet operators.
Supporting a high-utilisation fleet model
A notable feature of the new trailers is the incorporation of hydraulically operated landing legs, designed to support Thriveni Transport and Logistics’ innovative approach to maximising prime-mover utilisation.
The company operates multiple trailers behind each prime mover to improve fleet productivity. Once a prime mover arrives at a loading or unloading point, the trailer can be detached using the hydraulically operated landing-leg system, allowing the prime mover to immediately connect with another loaded or waiting trailer.
This approach significantly reduces the time during which prime movers remain idle during trailer loading and unloading operations. By enabling rapid trailer interchangeability, Thriveni Transport and Logistics can achieve additional trips from the same number of prime movers, thereby improving overall fleet utilisation and operating economics.
The system allows the prime mover to remain in continuous operation while trailers are being loaded or unloaded, effectively increasing the productivity of the existing prime-mover fleet without requiring a proportional increase in the number of prime movers.
Jagdamba Trailers is working closely with Thriveni Transport and Logistics to ensure that the trailers supplied are fully aligned with this operating model and can perform reliably in the demanding conditions associated with iron ore transportation.
Strengthening JTPL’s corporate and international credentials
The order further reinforces Jagdamba Trailers’ growing presence in the corporate and institutional segment. JTPL is an approved supplier to Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland for Fully Built-Up (FBU) vehicle solutions and regularly supplies trailers to both OEMs.
The company has also been expanding its product portfolio and market presence across India and international markets, with a focus on specialised and application-oriented trailer solutions.
The repeat business from a major mining and logistics operator such as Thriveni Transport and Logistics is expected to further enhance the brand visibility, credibility and trust associated with Jagdamba Trailers among corporate fleet operators in India and overseas markets.
Jagdamba Trailers views the latest order not merely as a volume achievement, but as a strong endorsement of its ability to understand customer operations and develop trailer solutions that contribute directly to fleet productivity and operating efficiency.
