VENUS Safety Expands PPE and Air Filtration Portfolio

VENUS Safety & Health Pvt. Ltd. is a leading Indian manufacturer of personal protective equipment and advanced air filtration solutions based in Navi Mumbai. Founded in 1986, VENUS Safety has built in?house capabilities in design, engineering, testing and manufacturing aligned with the Government of India’s Make in India initiative. The firm positions domestically produced, globally compliant safety solutions as a means to reduce import dependence and strengthen India’s role in safety manufacturing.

VENUS Safety supplies certified safety and filtration products for industrial, healthcare and cleanroom sectors. Offerings include reusable respiratory masks with ABEK?P3 cartridges, self contained breathing apparatus systems approved to IS 10245 and industrial eye and hearing protection, and research and development has produced patented items such as the Stay Cool Butterfly Vent Valve and the Twist N Click Filter System.

The company operates seven manufacturing facilities spanning more than 0.6 million (mn) sq ft and maintains a daily installed production capacity of up to 1.5 mn units. Operations are ISO 9001:2015 certified and supported by in?house testing laboratories that perform batch wise testing and maintain digital traceability aligned to standards such as BIS, NIOSH and CE. Testing covers chemical gas capacity including carbon monoxide, respirator performance, SCBA evaluation and optical validation for eye protection.

VENUS Safety employs 900 plus personnel with women constituting 85 per cent of the workforce and 30 per cent of hiring drawn from nearby communities. The company participates in national skill development schemes including the Samarth Scheme and runs structured internships and technical training with plans to implement the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana in Maharashtra. Employee welfare measures include subsidised meals, transport, annual medical check ups and a safe work environment complemented by an annual blood donation drive.

With exports to more than 32 countries across the Middle East, Europe and the United States, VENUS Safety continues to focus on capacity expansion, technological innovation and export growth.
