Globe Moving appoints Smartya Majumder as sales head

Globe Moving has appointed Smartya Majumder as Country Head – Sales to strengthen its leadership team and support sales growth, revenue expansion and customer-focused mobility solutions.

With over 19 years of experience across the logistics and telecom sectors, Smartya has expertise in sales leadership, strategic business development, revenue growth and team building. His appointment is expected to support Globe Moving’s expansion across mobility and logistics operations.

Prior to joining Globe Moving, Smartya held leadership roles at TNT India, Samsung Electronics, Vivo Mobile India, DHL–Blue Dart Express and DTDC. He was previously Vice President – National Sales & Marketing Head at Trackon.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Kolkata, Smartya holds an MBA and has completed Visionary Leadership Training from IIM Mumbai.

Ajit Venkatesh, Director, Globe Moving, said Smartya’s experience across logistics and telecom would support the company’s sales function, customer relationships and growth plans.

Smartya Majumder, Country Head – Sales, Globe Moving, said his focus would be on driving revenue growth, strengthening packing, moving and logistics solutions, and building a high-performing sales organisation.

Based at Globe Moving’s Bengaluru Corporate Office, Smartya will report to the Directors. His appointment is part of the company’s focus on strengthening leadership capabilities and supporting future business priorities.
