RSP to complete expansion project

Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has almost completed its Rs 12,000 crore expansion project in Odisha's Sundargarh district. The expansion will help to double the production of its steel capacity from 2 mn tonne to 4.5 mn tonne per annum. The company is also expected to commission the new 4,060 cu m blast furnace soon.?As a part of the project, the company operationalised the Coke Dry Cooling Plant (CDCP), Coal Handling Plant as well as Coal Chemicals unit.
