ILS at Karipur airport to be functional soon

The new Instrument Landing System (ILS) at the Calicut international airport in Karipur, would soon be functional as the mandatory air calibration tests were completed. The new ILS has been installed at Rs 3 crore replacing the old system installed in 1996. The ILS provides precision lateral and vertical guidance to an aircraft approaching the runway using radio signals.
