New cargo terminal for Guwahati Airport

<div>The Guwahati International airport will get its second cargo terminal to meet rising demand in cargo movement to-and-from the Northeast. The foundation stone for Common User Domestic Cargo Terminal-II (CUDCT) at the airport was laid by AAI chairman Guruprasad Mohapatra.&nbsp;</div> <div><br /> </div> <div>The cargo terminal, which will improve the air cargo capacity of the airport to 12,000 mt annually, is scheduled to be completed by next year. For 2016-17, outbound cargo stood at 5,700 mt, while inbound cargo was 11,300 mt.</div>
