Hyderabad Municipal Corporation lays Rs 455 crore plan for roads

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has planned to have a road laying with an investment of around Rs 455 crore to be completed by March 2018. To avoid the construction of roads duirng monsoon, the plan is to construct the roads in the period from November to May. This is the first time that GHMC has laid a plan to build roads in a systematic way. The corporation will lay black top or bituminous roads in 158 stretches at Rs 155.22 crore, cement concrete roads in 60 stretches at Rs 63.93 crore and white topping roads at 103 stretches at Rs 235.60 crore. Other roads will be taken up on priority after March.
