A link road was planned to come up between Kurla and Vidyavihar stations in Mumbai, however, work on the project is yet to be started. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation had awarded the contract for the road four years back. Around 383 structures will act as hurdles in this project. There is need to develop internal roads for speedy and smooth traffic movement in the area. Hence, once this road is ready, it will connect people between Vidyavihar and Kurla stations as well as Santa Cruz-Chembur link road.
