Slum redevelopment by SMC

Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) plans to redevelop 13 slum settlements in the city. The corporation will construct at least 4,350 new houses would through PPP under this programme. SMC vacated 13 slum settlements in Anjana area of the city. These slum areas will be given to private developers to rebuild multi-storeyed houses for slum dwellers.
