The construction work on the fifth flyover on Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway at Gota crossroads costing Rs 23 crore has begun, bringing the highway closer to becoming a speedway. The project is expected to be over by March 2012 and will have three lanes on either side. The state government had proposed to construct seven flyovers on the 30 km stretch from Sanand crossroads to Gujarat state capital Gandhinagar.
