ALD Automotive, LeasePlan Merge operations in India

ALD Automotive and LeasePlan's operations in India are set to merge following ALD Automotive's acquisition of LeasePlan on a global scale. The undisclosed amount acquisition was completed by ALD, and both companies made a joint statement on Tuesday, confirming the merger. As part of the merger, Suvajit Karmakar has been appointed as the Country Managing Director and Asia Sub-Regional Director of the combined entity by Tim Albertsen, the CEO of ALD Automotive-LeasePlan.

In his new role, Karmakar will oversee business activities for the group in Malaysia and Thailand, and lead the strategic development of the merged entity in India. With a combined fleet of over 38,000 vehicles across India, ALD Automotive India now becomes the largest mobility player in the country.
