Petitioners had alleged that authorities failed to follow statutory provisions and that affected persons had not been properly identified. Senior advocate KS Murthy argued for the petitioners that the rehabilitation package had not been provided to eligible landholders. Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivas, representing the State and the land acquisition authorities, submitted that the acquisition was being carried out in accordance with law. He added that one woman petitioner had refused to receive the award notice and later declined to accept the compensation cheques.

The dismissal clears obstacles to further work on the Seed Access Road and allows the authorities to proceed with remaining construction and related processes. The court's decision will enable development agencies to advance project timelines while complying with legal requirements for acquisition and payment. Parties on both sides will now need to engage with the statutory framework and administrative steps set by the State so that progress continues with due regard to rights and public benefit.
