Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate Phase Two of the E-3 Seed Access Road in Amaravati on August 13, marking a major milestone in the development of the capital city. The arterial corridor runs for 21.77 km from Dondapadu to National Highway 16 near Manipal Hospital in Tadepalli and is 60 metre wide with a nine-lane carriageway that links the N1 to N17 roads in the capital grid. The road forms the primary backbone for city connectivity. Constructed in three phases at an estimated total cost of Rs 15.19 billion (bn), the modern route includes dedicated Bus Rapid Transit System lanes, 11 metre service roads, cycle tracks, greenbelts and underground utility networks. The inauguration will celebrate completion of Phase Two, a three point nine two km stretch from Venkatapalem to the old national highway at Undavalli. The stretch features two newly built steel bridges. The two major steel bridges measure 110 metres and 280 metres and were built at a combined cost of Rs 820 million (mn). Each bridge incorporates an A-shaped pylon at the entrance and is intended to enable direct transit from Vijayawada and Mangalagiri into Amaravati while reducing congestion on Karakatta road. The infrastructure is expected to improve traffic flow and support planned urban expansion. At Undavalli the chief minister will unveil the inauguration plaque, address the gathering and travel along the Seed Access Road to Rayapudi to inspect the newly completed legislators' residential towers before proceeding to the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P Narayana inspected the venue and met Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to extend an invitation. Pawan Kalyan conveyed that he will attend a pre-scheduled World Elephant Day event in Visakhapatnam with Union Minister Bhupender Yadav and Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav welcomed the project as a reflection of the government's commitment to rebuilding Amaravati in coordination with the central government.
