forty one-km ring road to come up in Khammam, Hyderabad

A 41-km ring road would be constructed in Khammam, Hyderabad, to ease traffic congestion in the district headquarters town. The state government has sanctioned Rs 209 crore for taking up works to finalise the alignment of the ring road and execute the land acquisition process. Works were in progress to upgrade a 100-km stretch of the Vijayawada-Jagdalpur NH-221 (new NH-30) at an estimated cost of Rs 456 crore. The Central Government has announced some other new road infrastructure projects passing through the district. The new projects will help create a vast National Highway network of more than 200 km in the district.
