Khellani Tunnel in Doda to be upgraded

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has announced the expansion of the Khellani tunnel in Doda to a two-lane structure, including a paved shoulder and improvements to its approach road on NH-244. This project, spanning 2.419 kilometres within Package 3, aims to enhance accessibility in Jammu and Kashmir.Gadkari emphasised that the upgraded tunnel will ensure year-round access, providing significant benefits to the local economy and residents of the region. He stated that the project aligns with the goal of achieving efficient, trouble-free, and environmentally conscious mobility in Jammu and Kashmir, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision.
