Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) chief Naval Kishore Ram directed officials to expedite pending infrastructure projects and land acquisition in Karvenagar ward 30 after inspecting the area with mayor Manjusha Nagpure. The inspection covered Matoshri Old Age Home, the Shivane-Kharadi road, the Rajaram Bridge–Jawalkar Udyan stretch, the Sun City–Karvenagar new bridge area and the Karvenagar flyover. Ram instructed departments to fast-track proposals and land transfers to clear planning bottlenecks. Ram asked the road department to submit a proposal within a week to acquire land required for the 12-metre development plan road between Matoshri Old Age Home and the Vandevi temple. Officials were told to prioritise survey work and documentation to enable timely possession for construction. The civic administration was directed to coordinate with property and project departments to resolve title and compensation issues. The 36-metre-wide Shivane-Kharadi development plan road, planned as 1,800 metre, has 1,300 metre developed and 500 metre remaining. About 14,000 sq m is involved, affecting 19 landowners, and the administration was ordered to expedite transferable development rights proposals for 7,000 sq m and acquire the remaining 7,000 sq m. Officials were asked to complete documentation and initiate possession within the shortest possible timeframe. Ram directed completion of land acquisition for the 30-metre development plan road between Jawalkar Udyan and Ambedkar Chowk and asked officials to initiate acquisition for remaining land at the Sun City-Karvenagar bridge on the Sinhagad Road side. He sought technical action on the Karvenagar flyover near Kakade City and instructed verification of ownership along Panand Road opposite AJ Avenue to take possession of government land. Departments were told to align timelines to minimise disruption. The 24-metre development plan road along the Warje-Shivane riverbank will be taken up under the river rejuvenation project, with agencies instructed to integrate road work and environmental safeguards. Senior officials from road, building, project, sewage and property departments, with local representatives Rajesh Barate, Reshmatabai Barate, Tejashree Pawale, Swapnil Dudhane and Sushil Mengade, attended and were directed to report progress to PMC chief.
