Saint-Gobain Gyproc India Ltd, has launched a very innovative product, Gyproc Champion Putty, which is made up of high purity gypsum, high quality polymers, specialty chemicals and mineral fillers. It is used for filling uneven surfaces and provides smooth paint ready surfaces on ceilings and walls. Its special formulation enables the best coverage giving a significantly lower installed material cost to the user. It provides protective base for expensive paints and its superior water resisting properties prevent paint from flaking even if walls are damp. Moreover, gypsum comprising applicator friendly material does not cause hand burns or cement- burns normally associated with cement based putties. It does not require water curing and provides shrinkage s free surface. It also exhibits anti-algal and anti-fungal properties. Ceilings, wall surfaces made up of masonry (sand cement plastered, concrete, gypsum plastered), boards (gypsum boards, cement fibre boards, calcium silicate boards) to be covered with putty thickness of 0.5 to 4 mm.
