Over the last three years, iron ore worth over Rs 61,000 crore was exported from Goa. In 2009-2010, Rs 22,809 crore worth ore was exported from the state, in 2010 it was Rs 17,147 crore and in 2011-12, it was Rs 21,818 crore. During 2009-2010, the mines ministry collected Rs 285 crore royalty on iron ore exports from Goa. In 2010-11, it was Rs 958 crore and in 2011-2012 it was Rs 942 crore.
