NPCIL inks uranium import agreements

Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) has signed contracts with foreign firms for import of uranium. It has inked agreements with AREVA, France (300 mn tonne of Uranium Ore Concentrate), TVEL Corporation, Russia (58 mn tonne of enriched Uranium Dioxide pellets, 2000 mn tonne of natural Uranium Oxide pellets, spread over the years in quantities 200-400 mn tonne annually) and NAC Kazatomprom, Kazakhstan.
