Ranchi Set For Major Upgrade Of Three Key Bus Terminals

Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, is set to undergo a significant upgrade of its three major bus terminals—ITI Bus Stand, Government Bus Depot and Birsa Munda Bus Terminal (Khadgarha)—after the state government approved a comprehensive redevelopment plan worth Rs 487.2 million.

The terminals will be modernised to meet national standards, featuring enhanced passenger amenities and improved operational efficiency.

During a review of urban development initiatives, Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed the Urban Development Department to fast-track the modernisation, renovation and structural upgrade of all three terminals. Acting on these instructions, Urban Development and Housing Minister Sudivya Kumar has ordered the commencement of construction, with tenders already issued.
