ECMAS IZONIL India's patented technology provides an effective solution for waterproofing. Waterproofing and damp proofing are critical for the life of concrete and masonry structures. Water leakages, seepage, rising dampness, efflorescence are common problems in our buildings. IZONIL, a 100 per cent waterproof, breathable and drying solution, a revolutionary patented technology provides an effective solution to all these problems. This technology is brought to India by ECMAS IZONIL India, a JV between ECMAS and IZONIL from Slovakia. Celebrating more than 15 years of success in Europe, IZONIL solutions have been used successfully over the past five years in all parts of India in different types of projects in demanding situations. High quality IZONIL waterproof solution is a high-quality cement-lime based, fibre reinforced plaster that provides a totally waterproof barrier, without the need for a chemical or synthetic membrane. This solution is produced from natural materials and does not contain any harmful or inflammable ingredients. It is dry-mixed 100 per cent waterproof and dehumidifying mortar consisting of grey portland cement, high quality graded silica sand and Izo-component for plastering of rough-surface walls with resistance to permanent positive water pressure up to 5 bar and negative water pressure up to 1 bar.  IZONIL plasters are supplied as ready-mixed powder bags, just add water at site. Applied directly to walls or roofs as plaster, it prevents ingress of water from either side of the plaster while remaining air permeable, allowing trapped moisture to escape rapidly. It is a solution for usage in buildings, where it is necessary to protect them before destructive influence of water. The variants are developed to perform optimally in different situations. Hard, Roof, Extra are purely for waterproofing applications, whereas the other products are plasters with a little lesser degree of waterproofing properties designed to be applied on walls as high-performance plasters. Limitations of IZONIL IZONIL waterproofing systems should not be used in applications under constant movement. Being a rigid system, it may crack when subjected to excessive movements. Therefore, areas that require flexibility and face recurring movements would be better waterproofed another way. It is hydrophobic in nature and not easy to mix with water manually, therefore, it requires mechanical mixing with stirrer or drum mixer for 8-10 minutes.
