To overcome the shortage of drinking water in Greater Hyderabad in future, another pipeline is going to be laid. This is the fourth pipeline project in the city, which will cost approximately  Rs.14 bn. The pipeline will be laid in Sunkishala, Nagarjuna Sagar, and provide drinking water from the Krishna river to Hyderabad. The project was announced by KT Rama Rao, MAUD Minister while laying the foundation stone of Phase-II, Outer Ring Road (ORR), drinking water supply scheme in the Alkapoor Township in Manikonda.
