LCC Projects Secures Rs. 1.52 bn Gujarat Water Supply Contract

LCC Projects has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) water supply order valued at Rs. 1.52 bn, excluding goods and services tax, from the Gujarat government. The project involves transporting water from Machhu-I Dam to Triveni Thanga Reservoir and several villages in the state.

The company received an Acceptance of Tender (AOT) from the Office of the Executive Engineer, Sauni Yojana Division, Rajkot, according to a regulatory filing. The award covers the construction of the water transmission system and related infrastructure in Wankaner and Chotila talukas.

Under the contract, LCC Projects will execute the construction work within 24 months. The scope also includes operating and maintaining the completed project for 10 years after construction, extending the company’s responsibility beyond the initial EPC phase.

The company said the formal contract would be executed in accordance with the applicable tender conditions. It also stated that the order was awarded by a domestic entity and did not involve a related-party transaction.

LCC Projects added that its promoters, promoter group and group companies had no interest in the entity that awarded the contract. The order is expected to add to the company’s presence in irrigation and water supply projects, where it undertakes construction and long-term project maintenance activities.

Shares of LCC Projects closed at Rs. 136.15 on the National Stock Exchange on Friday, rising 1.68 per cent. The company’s work on the Gujarat project will cover water delivery to the reservoir and nearby villages, with operations and maintenance continuing for a decade after the infrastructure is completed.
