Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar has announced that the government will invest Rs 100 trillion over five years to boost the country’s infrastructure.

He reportedly said that the government’s investments on railways, roads, highways, waterways and airport, along with its spending in the social sector, will increase jobs creation and boost domestic demand.
