ACC February sales up 17 per cent

Cement maker ACC reported a 17 per cent increase in sales for the month of February to 2 mn tonne. The company, in which Swiss major Holcim has the majority stake, sold 1.71 mn tonne cement in the same month last year. Production of the building material by the company also went up to 1.97 mn tonne during the month from 1.71 mn tonne in February 2010.
