Ambuja Cement has inaugurated its first fully automatic terminal with a capacity of 1 mn tonne in Mangalore. Through this new facility, all states along the west coast are now covered by Ambuja Bulk Cement Terminals (BCTs). The new terminal at Mangalore will provide Ambuja an opportunity to receive imported cement and also help in reducing the negative effect of seasonality of the Gujarat plant. In addition, the terminal will also reduce the logistic cost by having common vessel for Mangalore and Kochi BCT.
