Amma cement sells 27,056 MT

The Tamil Nadu Government has sold 27,056.80 metric tonne of Amma cement since its launch in January this year. After cement prices started soaring in the open market, resulting in escalation of construction works, the state government decided to offer a bag of cement at a reduced price of Rs 190. Deserving beneficiaries can procure 250 bags of Amma cement for a 500 sq ft house, 500 bags for 501-1,000 sq ft structure and 750 bags for structures ranging from 1,001 sq ft to 1,500 sq ft structure.
