Cement stocks have corrected about 10-15 per cent from their recent peaks in May over concerns around pricing roll-back in June and demand moderation following the elections. Cement volume rose 13 per cent in FY2019. Despite a higher base, most Indian companies reported higher volume growth in the last one year. The government's emphasis on infrastructure development in the Bbudget is expected to further stimulate the demand for cement.
