<div>Orient Cement is aiming for an expansion of production capacity of its existing plant. It has signed a pact with the Telengana Government and plans to invest Rs 20 bn for the same. </div>

<div>The current capacity of the existing cement plant in Devpur is 5 mn tonne, which will increase to 8 mn tonne. Orient Cement acquired the first stage clearance for the expansion from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and is waiting for a final green signal. </div>
