Potain cranes lend lifts to hotel construction

A new Hyatt hotel, which is being built in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, US, is utilising two self-erecting Potain cranes. Patrinos Painting & Contracting, a contractor based in Bethel Park, PA, is using a Potain Igo 50 and a HDT 80 to construct the new hotel. The self-erecting cranes can lift 653 structural metal stud and interior load bearing panels onto the seven-story structure, some weighing upto 2,500 pounds. The Igo 50 features a 4.4 tonne lifting capacity and a 111 ft maximum hook height with the jib at 20o. The HDT 80 has a 6.6 tonne lifting capacity and 176 ft maximum hook height.
