Construction opportunity in MUTP

Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) is implementing the multi modal project viz. Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP) at a total estimated cost of Rs 51.27 billion.

The project aims to bring about improvement in traffic and transportation situation in the MMR with the assistance of the World Bank. The project involves upgradation of suburban railway infrastructure, local bus transport, setting up of new roads, bridges, pedestrian subways and traffic management activities.

Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation (MRVC), a joint venture of Railways and Government of Maharashtra, is set up for implementation of rail projects under MUTP and other projects of railways in the MMR.

The authorities implementing MUTP plans to engage a contractor for construction of four lane road over bridge near Mumbra bye pass flyover, which is in the outskirts of Mumbai.
