CIL to sell 4.65 MT coal annually

<div>Coal India will provide 4.65 mn tonne (mt) coal to the cement industry every year, for five years, via e-auctions. CIL recently offered 7 mt to sponge iron firms and got 39 per cent higher bids than the actual price for the non-power sector. Of the planned 4.65 mt, 3.51 mt can come from the roadways while the remaining 1.14 mt can come from the railways.
