Construction of six hydel projects delayed

Construction of six hydro electric power projects has been put on hold as it has failed to obtain environment clearance. The decision is pending with the Ministry of Environment & Forests and the Ministry of Power is regularly monitoring the status of environment clearance for power projects. The CPSEs and other project developers are also pursuing the matter at the appropriate level to get the clearance expedited.
