Ispat mulls buying power plant
In a bid to reduce the cost of electricity, Sajjan Jindal-owned Ispat Industries is close to buying 26 per cent stake in JSW Energy's 300 MW Ratnagiri power project for over Rs 100 crore. This will allow Ispat to use the electricity from the plant for captive consumption to produce steel at its Khopoli plant.
