Nagaland goes overboard on hydel projects

The Nagaland new and renewable energy department identified 21 feasible sites for hydro projects, prepared pre-feasibility reports and sent them to the concerned ministry. The department proposes to take up hydro power projects on a standalone or grid connected mode where surplus energy can be fed to the state grid for revenue generation. It prepared a detailed project report for Tsutsung MHP with an installed capacity of 1 GW.
