Tata Power commission´s the remaining 8 MW of the 32 MW wind farm at Girijashankarwadi in Maharashtra. This makes its total wind generation capacity 470.6 MW. The company has developed this project through its 100 per cent subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. The wind farm uses the 2 MW wind turbine from Kenersys India. About 62 mn units generated per year will be utilised for Renewable Purchase Obligations. The company has wind farms located across five states - Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
