The Delhi Government has plans to develop toilets in about 700 slum clusters as part of the ´Swachh Bharat´ campaign launched by the Prime Minister. The decision was taken against the shortage of toilet blocks in jhuggi jhopri (JJ) colonies in the city. The Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) has already prepared a data base of toilet blocks available in JJ clusters as well as identified the deficit. It is also actively planning to implement the programme so as to provide more toilets at such places at the earliest.
