NMDC's steel project to be commissioned in 2014

The National Mineral Development Corporation’s steel plant project, located at Nagarnar, is on full stream and will be commissioned in 2014. Most of the packages, out of seven, have been awarded. The 3 mtpa capacity plant, which marks NMDC’s entry into steel manufacturing, accounts for 75 per cent of the targeted capital expenditure of Rs 4,655 in the next fiscal.
