Chennai airport Phase-II in three years

The second phase of the Chennai airport development, after facing a delay, will have be completed in the next three years. The project will now be taken up by AAI. It will handle, annually, around 23 mn passengers from the present 14 mn. An initial outlay of Rs 1,000 crore of the total Rs 2,300 crore has been allocated for the development work. The project also includes expansion of both domestic and international terminals.
