Ennore Port commissions three new terminals

Three new terminals for handling coal, iron ore and cars were commissioned at Ennore Port. An 8 mn tonne coal terminal and 6 mn tonne iron ore terminal were developed through private participation on built operate and transfer basis. The car terminal was developed by Ennore Port itself. The coal terminal involved an outlay of Rs 399.13 crore and the iron ore terminal was built at an investment of Rs 360 crore. In the second phase the capacity of the iron ore terminal will be doubled. The car terminal was built by Ennore Port at a cost of Rs 110 crore and, will be used by Nissan Motor to ship out its models made at its plant near here. Contact: Ennore Port Ltd. Tel: 044-2525 1666.
