GMR declines NOC for Bidar airport
GMR has declined to give a no objection certificate (NOC) for a civilian airport planned in the Bidar district of Karnataka. The state government had obtained permission from the defence ministry to convert an old defence airport for civilian use in Bidar.
However Government rules stipulate that no new airport can come up within a 150 km radius of an existing one owned by a private operator.
