In a bid to widen and strengthen NH-4 and state highway-40, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced tenders. Some of these areas include Shil Phata, Palaspe Phata, Takka Colony, Kalamboli Junction and Khanda Colony. Additionally, the project includes a 450 m four-lane flyover on SH-40 at the L&T junction in Mumbai. The estimated cost for the project is Rs 56 crore and it is expected to be completed in 18 months.
