Mundra Port commences operations in Gujarat
Adani Group has started operations at its 20 mn tonne Mundra Port at Dahej, in Gujarat, with an outlay of Rs 1,150 crore. The port is being constructed in a joint venture with Petronet LNG.
Petronet owns 24 per cent in the joint venture and will operate an LNG import terminal at Dahej, along with a berth for ships. Adani Group asserts that as Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone (MPSEZ) will commence operations of the dry bulk cargo port, it would be the second operational port in Gujarat for MPSEZ and the only one which has become operational in the private port category in the last 4-5 years.
