India is in fray for the reconstruction of Sittwe Port and the associated river transport facilities, as part of the Kaladan Multi-modal Transit Transport Project in Myanmar. The project cost has risen to Rs 450 crore against the initial estimate of Rs 350 crore with the facilities expected to be operational by extended timeline of May 2015.
