Railways' urged to announce clearer PPP policy guidelines

The railways have been urged to announce a clearer guideline on PPP projects by the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC). The chamber has also sought a clarification from the ministry if the proposed guidelines are different from the one announced by the Planning Commission. According to the Planning Commission guidelines, the PPP initiative would be taken by the government, but the railway was asking the private sector to come out with their own PPP initiatives.
