Projects worth Rs.130 bn have been reportedly awarded for the upgradation of major ports over the past three years. Minister of State for Shipping and Chemicals & Fertilizers, Mansukh Mandaviya reportedly stated that in FY2016-17, Rs.84.84 bn was sanctioned for 54 such projects.
