UP releases Rs.80 cr for international airport in state

The Uttar Pradesh Government has cleared the first instalment of Rs 80 crore for constructing an international airport in Kushinagar district, a key stopover of Buddhism followers across the world. The amount has been passed for the construction of the runway of the airport, that is being built on a public private partnership (PPP) model. A stretch of 569 hectare has already been provided for the project.
